User journey

Since Varsha and I were pre-existing customers on Gumtree, we wanted to visualize our journey in order to form a user journey. We chose business origami method to do so.

I had done the buyer journey as I bought a bicycle from Gumtree. Link to the whole narration 👉🏽

With this in place we could demarcate the points of interaction and anticipation from both the side.

The next step was to replace the product of purchase with urine and see how the journey might change. Although, this was a great leap of assumptions, we found that there wasn’t much change in the user journey or interaction. Varsha made this suggestion that we look at the journey were demand comes first and then the supply, owing to the lifetime of the product.

Emotional meter

The missing part of the previous step was the emotional aspect of the whole process. We tried to recreate the exchange of fake semen.

It dint justify as we both know it was fake. We had to do something real something weird.

So we decided to exchange urine…

It shouldn’t be something weird, as it was just a body fluid to remove toxins. Right?

There were various factors that had to be taken into consideration

Visibility, transportation, ergonomically suitable to collect the sample, re-sealable, etc.

We chose a commonly available container and added few fruit drawings on them to help blend with the containers that would be commonly used. Transparency was encouraged so as to capture the authentic feelings of the carrier for the sake of the experiment.

Wee walk

I volunteered to take the container around and personally experience the user journey. We decided to try out different environments to identify the change in mental state. The goal was to observe people walking around and how they would react to the situation.

The PGP (Pee and Get Paid)

Taking advise from last week we wanted to build a community experience were people wouldn’t be ashamed to come together to sell/buy urine.

Concept: A van to goes around the city collecting urine and sell it to the customers depending on their need and purpose. In order to attract the people to go forth and make their contributions, they would be paid (also depending on the quality)
